‘ob_gzhandler’ problems in 2.01

  • Well, I’m again dealing with the infamous ” ‘ob_gzhandler’ cannot be used after ‘URL-Rewriter’ ” error message.

    I do know of all the fixes. Making a php.ini, mess with the .htaccess file, none of them are working after upgrade. The fixes worked prior to upgrade, but aren’t working now.

    Any ideas on what else I could do to get rid of the error message? ( Aside from completely turning off gzip compression that is. )

    Anyone have ideas? Still haven’t heard anything…

    Some one prove me wrong and show that this support board actually can give some answers, not just generate tons of unanswered posts like always.

    Hmm. Well, THAT was rather a nasty slap at the totally volunteer effort here….

    Regardless, since you’re the only person I can recall that I’ve run across in a year on this board who’s had this problem, I suppose it’s not unlikely that answers for you will be few and far between.

    If you think this is due to an upgrade to a recent version of wp, then you might be more well-advised to address this to the testers list.
