So I’ve set up the site and authenticated just fine with the Search Console and PageSpeed. I get the infamous “/?oauth2callback=1&authuser=0…” 414 (not 404) error when I try to connect to Analytics though.

Each service seems to go through the same steps while connecting to Google. Only Analytics fails. That makes me think it probably isn’t one of the canonical MOD_SEC, caching, or minifying/concatenating errors.

But if others are also having trouble only with Analytics I’ll go through the steps to see if it works.

@david-innes Thanks for reporting, hopefully we can assist. Others have encountered setup issues as you mentioned, in some cases as a result of caching plugin conflicts or security plugin configurations. Newer releases of Site Kit should resolve many of these errors.

Can you temporarily deactivate any caching/security plugins before checking again with the latest version of Site Kit (it not already using 1.1.4)? If you’ve updated from a beta version or older versions of Site Kit I would recommend uninstalling before installing Site Kit again. There may also be browser extensions or local software impacting Analytics setup.

If the above fails to resolve your issue can you provide some more information which we can use to troubleshoot further, such as the following:
    – Your site URL/domain
    – You Site Health Information

@david-innes we had a similar report seen in this topic. Temporarily disabling ModSecurity at the host helped establish the connection. Are you able to try the same (or if there are other security measures, particularly ones that limit the length of the URL) to see if that helps?

@david-innes As we’ve not heard from you I’ve marked your support topic as resolved. Feel free to reopen if you encounter the same issue after following the suggested steps mentioned.
