    Hi,

We currently have a ‘PayPal Powered By Braintree’ account and they are saying we do not have API access. Our current plugin which we are trying to switch over from BrainTree for WooCommerce plugin is connected through OAuth authentication without API keys necessary. Even though on their documents it says they require the same API keys your plugin needs to function.

Is OAuth authentication possible with this plugin? Otherwise they want us to create a new account with BrainTree Direct to get API keys.

    Thank you!

    Hi @dresdays

Thank you for contacting us. This plugin requires the API Keys and does not support the oAuth connection.

The “BrainTree for WooCommerce plugin” used to support the oAuth connection, so perhaps you’re using an old version of that plugin?

Otherwise they want us to create a new account with BrainTree Direct to get API keys

In order to use this plugin, you will need to have access to API keys which most likely means you will need to create a new Braintree account unless there is something PayPal/Braintree can do on their end to distribute API keys to you.

    Kind Regards,
