  • Hi @barenco,

Sorry to hear you’re unhappy with the plugin. In many cases third party plugins or hosting related issues can result in Search Console warnings. We’ve added some documentation to our website to assist plugin users with such warnings.

I’d be happy to work with you if you wish, to ensure you’re site is making the most of the AMP plugin should you wish to try it out once more. From the URL in your profile it looks like you are correct that you’re using a non compatible theme, with room for improvement when it comes to performance. I noticed some possible plugins who may have also impacted your AMP URLs, plugins which I suspect are not fully AMP compatible. Have you tried using the plugin in reader mode?

    Hi @jamesosborne

When we installed the AMP plugin, it approved the compatibility of all the other installed plugins. But as you are saying, it might be a good idea to investigate this issue further. Any tips?
As for our Herald theme, I consulted the documentation and support before and we were informed that it was compatible with AMP…
We did not get to activate the reader mode. We can try to do that.
We intend to make a new attempt, as we think the AMP version will be important to us.
I thank you for the guidance.

No problem at all, glad to hear you’re open to giving it another try. I did check the Herald theme and the theme itself isn’t fully AMP compatible, meaning it work work like for like when using transitional or standard mode AMP. It will work in reader mode however, as it won’t use your themes templates, styling and layout.

After activating AMP once more select reader mode and choose from one of the available themes. You’ll notice your AMP URLs will use a fully compatible theme, while your non AMP URLs won’t be impacted, all using your Herald theme!

Let me know if you have any questions during setup and I’d be happy to assist. You’ll find an informative video below on reader mode. And now that you may know how the plugin work by providing users with options when using incompatible themes feel free to update your plugin review if you feel AMP can work for you on your site:

I thank you for the suggestions. Yes, I will make that attempt. If I have problems, I open a topic to see if I can solve it.

Here in Brazil we say goodbye saying “a hug!” ??

Muito obrigado! And don’t forget to update your review if you feel the plugin deserves a different rating now that you’re aware of the different modes it provides.
