With Recipe Card gone (I think) I am looking for a new plugin that will calculate nutritional information. 5 months ago, in a support question, you mentioned this is a work in progress. What is the status of nutritional information now (it still doesn’t look right–and you would need a field for number of servings, not just serving size) and when do you expect it to be ready?

I’m curious about this too. The about page and main video for this plugin seems to indicate the nutritional info is already up and running. None of the example sites include it.

Has this not been implemented yet, or is it only on the MealPlannerPro website and not any WordPress sites, which would go against the stated idea that search engines prefer recipes with nutritional info. Or maybe just the example sites have decided not to use this feature.

Thank you for clarifying. I know this topic is from two months ago, but I hope there’s an answer now.

This support ticket somehow fell between the cracks. We do apologize for taking this long to reply.

The most direct way to reach us is at [email protected] We can also add you to the update newsletters so you’re always informed. The last newsletter included the below nutrition update.

Note that if you convert from EasyRecipe or Recipe Card that any existing nutrition info is maintained in the Notes section of the recipe card.

Nutrition by ESHA Research – We’ve hire another software engineer that is working full time on just this. He’s making great progress and is about 60% finished. We expect to have this completed in 4-6 weeks.

We’re been working with ESHA Research, a world leader in nutrition for 30 years, to provide the most accurate online recipe nutrition on the planet. Other online nutrition services use 1 – 3 sources to calculate nutrition. ESHA uses 1,700 different sources to calculate theirs. ESHA wins hands down for accurate nutrition calculations.

Nutrition is very important to many of your readers. If you’re going to include this then let’s ensure that it’s going to be accurate. It’s also great that you’ll never need to manually enter nutrition info again. The system does it all automatically.

Thank you for your patience and we hope you understand that we want to do this right. It’s a very big undertaking but it’ll work amazing.

    Thanks,
    Commodore Allen

A nutrition update: we’re making great progress and are ahead of schedule. The nutrition matching for ingredients with ESHA Research nutritional database is now completed. We’re now is testing. It will be released in 3-4 weeks.

Hi. I see the nutritional info on the MealPlannerPro site, and I see the option in the settings to show nutrition information. But it isn’t appearing in my recipes. Is there a special step I need to take?

The nutrition service and feature is still a work in progress but we’re making great progress. We’ve hired another software engineer to work exclusively on finishing the ESHA nutrition. This will calculate and display the most accurate online recipe nutrition, exchanges and MyPlate info when completed.

We’re about 70 % completed but will take another 3 months to finish. We want to do it right. Thanks again for your support.

    Cheers,
    Commodore

Thank you! Lots of great things in the works to be sure. You’d think our to do list would be getting shorter but it never seems to end. This is a good thing.

We’ll continue to release new features over the next couple of months then a few major announcements soon after.

    Cheers,
    Commodore
