Hi and thanks for helping me out here.
I just setup my website last week. I’m using all in one with lockdown set to 5 failed.
Overnite I received 103 lockout notifications for admin, which I dont use, with various ip’s.
I can not figure out if it is Yoast Seo, or bots trying to get in because last month my website was hacked and redirected.
I hope someone can give me an idea. Thanks

Hi, I think those might be bots but some could also be hackers trying to get into your site.

Read the following thread, for suggestion on how to prevent people from trying to hack into your site.

    Thank you

Thanks for the thread. I moved all files to the trash from old site then when my new site was up, I permanently deleted them.
I did change the login thru brute force.

To add, I don’t want to block google analytics and don’t know if they try access my files in this fashion.

Hi, as far as I know and with all my settings enabled using this plugin Google Analytics has never been blocked in my site.

So you are safe to enable the features mentioned above in the thread I shared.

Let me know if you need more help or information.

If you don’t need any more help, can you mark this support thread as resolved.

    Kind regards

    Thanks for that info.
I will uncheck the email to notify me and see if the emails stop.
If not, I’ll post another question.
    Thanks again.
