For some strange reason the software is not generating unique numbers anymore.

Here is my code from the quote request page. The number is always the same.

This started happening about 2 weeks ago.

    [submission_id_hidden evid “1920600”]

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • My ID stopped counting as well. It was working a few days ago now stopped working. I recently did an update with contact form 7. I wonder if it is due to the update?

    Hi, I’ve the same problem.
    It doesn’t count…it’s always ID=1

    What’s happen?

    Thanks

Same issue here. Received 5 form submissions in the last 12 hours, all have submissionID of 1.

I had a problem with another plugin associated with Contact Form 7 (Upi CRM), and after reading this thread tried rolling it back to the previous version – problem solved!

Try using WP Rollback plugin to go back to CF7 version 7.5.19 instead of 7.5.2.

“Try using WP Rollback plugin to go back to CF7 version 7.5.19 instead of 7.5.2”

Isn’t it on 5.2 now. I tried rolling back to 5.19 and 18 and it still didn’t work.

From what I can see, I think the incrementation ceased functioning after the last update of this plugin. I have rolled back my CF7 installation to 7.5.17, and there is no change in the auto-incrementation.

Due to the pandemic, requests virtually stopped on the form I use this for, but the last time the auto-incrementation worked was on 6/3/2020. The next time the form was used (6/24/2020), it used the number from 6/3 and has continued using the same number.

Unfortunately, WP Rollback doesn’t work with this plugin, and I can’t find the previous version to test my hypothesis. So, I restored a backup of my plugins (which included version 1.4 of this plugin, updated all my plugins (aside from UniqueID), and now auto-increment functionality is working again.

Rolling CF7 back to 5.19 worked for me. submissionID is now working again.

I deactivated or removed some other CF7 plugins we had installed and then tried going back to CF7 5.2 and the submissionID stopped incrementing again.

Rolled it to 5.19 again and the submissionIDs are incrementing again.

I’ve never actually rolled back to an earlier version. Where can I find one of the old versions of this plugin? any help would be greatly appreciated.

I fixed the problems in version 2.1.0.
Please be reminded that your field has to contain the word “submission_id” in order to work correctly

Rollback CF7 and now it’s work.
    Tks

I deleted and reinstalled the plugin (I can see it was updated a few hours ago). I changed the field trying both submission_id and submission_id-po. I have rolled back CF7. Unfortunately, none of those options work for me, and I am still stuck on the same number. Did I miss a step? Thanks.

Did you try it on a new form?

Yes. I created a new form from scratch to test.

I added the following code at the start of the form.

    [submission_id submission_id-155 “1298”]

Now, it shows 1298 on the form on the website, no matter how many times I submit. It does not increment.

Plus, now on submission, it reports the number 1 with no incremental changes.

Not sure if this matters, but when I click “View version 2.0.1 details,” I see a version 2.10 at the top of the list. However, WordPress updates it to 2.0.1 and the download from WordPress reports it the same.

    I don’t see version 2.10 it’s still showing 2.01.
