    Hello there,

First of all, thank you guys for your really helpful plugin. It is a must-have in my website.

I am reaching out to you to see how can it be solved a problem I have with numbering invoices.

My site uses Woocommerce Subscriptions plugin, and since I have been using it invoice’s numbering is not continous anymore. Main order purchase generate properly it numbering but when it comes to renewal it miss previous numbering and generate a different one.

Also, I set a custom billing field for ID customer’s number on the Woocommerce’s payment form section. I customized your plugin’s template in order to show this field in the invoice, but this ID customer’s number is only showed at Main order purchases, renewal invoices does not show this info.

Hope you can help me with this 2 problems.

    Thank you in advantage.

    Hello Fungencio,
Your message is about two separate (unrelated) issues:

To start with the DNI: this is not related to our plugin, which just reads the data from the order. If the DNI is not present in the order data of the renewal order (for instance because it was not copied from the original order when the renewal order was created, or because it wasn’t added in the original order), our plugin will not be able to disaplay it either. I don’t know how you added this DNI field to the address, but depending how that was done, it’s also possible that this only looks at regular orders, not renewal orders. In any case, I don’t think it’s an issue that is related to PDF invoices.

For the invoice number issue, I need a bit more information, because your screenshot only shows 4 orders. The only explanation I have for this is that invoices 135 and 140 have been created for other orders (not visible in your screenshot) between January 15 and January 22. Can you search for 135 or 20220135 (please try both!) in the “Search orders” in the WooCommerce backend to see if the order with this invoice number shows up?

    Hi Ewout,

    Thanks for your quick response.

I activated invoice number column on Woocommerce orders section. With these I have checked that renewal subscription does not generate invoice number. Might it be because of the “Attach to” plugins options?

For the “DNI” custom field I used the “Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce” plugin.

Thanks for sharing that. This shows us that the invoices that you thought were missing, were in fact generated after all, just for older (or newer) orders.

Might it be because of the “Attach to” plugins options?

Yes indeed! The invoice is only generated automatically when it is attached to an email, but you don’t attach it to the “Completed renewal order” (“pedido de renovacion completado”) email, so it is not generated until you manually click the button.

For the “DNI” custom field I used the “Checkout Field Editor for WooCommerce” plugin.

You will need to reach out to their support to ask why it’s not included in renewal orders. This is not related to the PDF Invoices & Packing Slips plugin that this forum is for.

    Thank you!

Is there any way I can bulk edit invoices’ numbers?
