I installed Site Reviews on my development site. So far it looks great. I am having an issue with the number of reviews on the “Rating Summary” reflecting the actual number of reviews that were submitted. For example I submitted 4 reviews (with all 5 star reviews) to test the system and then went to view it on the review page I created and it says 3.3 out of 5 stars (based on 6 reviews). I went to the WordPress Dashboard to confirm that there were only 4 reviews and there was. I only have 4 reviews in the system, but the “Rating Summary” says there are 6 reviews. There must be a setting I am missing but I cannot find it. Thanks.

To fix this, you will need to go to the Site Reviews Tools page and run the “Reset Assigned Meta Values” tool.

Also, pay attention to these tools which you may need to run if your Database is using the old MyISAM table engine:

I went tools and “Reset Assigned Meta Values”. Cleared Cache and it is still showing 6 reviews on the “Rating Summary” when I only have 4 submitted. I went to the Optimise Your Database Tables and Repair Review Relations and it says “Optimisation is unnecessary because your database tables already use the InnoDB engine!”. My site is hosted on Kinsta, PHP 7.4, WordPress 5.8. What else could it be?

So I thought I would try a few more things. I changed the theme to the default, still had issues. I deactivated all the plugins and then reactivated them and it fixed it. I tried to pinpoint what plugin was conflicting with Site Reviews and could not find it. I even completely deactivated and removed all the data from the Site Reviews plugin and then reloaded it fresh to see if I could find the issue. The second time I loaded it, Site Reviews worked fine. I am guessing there was a plugin conflict, but I cannot find it. Currently it is working as designed on the staging site.

Are you still having this problem? If so, did you send a support email as I’m not sure that I received it.

I deactivated and then reactivated the plugins and it seems to be working fine now. I did not send a support email because I wanted to try these steps first. No further assistance is needed at this time. Thanks.
