Number of recent posts on home page

  • Hi, thank you so much for Ascend and Virtue, the most briliant themes anyone could wish for. You thought of everything.

    In theme options I have recent blog posts set to display 6 posts. But about a month ago, the display reduced itself to 3.

    I’m starting to do more posts and it would be helpful to display as many recent posts as poss.

    Hey,
    Glad to hear you’ve been enjoying the themes!
    I’m seeing some timed out errors on your site. I would suggest deactivating your plugins to test if any are conflicting. Let me know if there’s no change.

    In your settings > reading can you make sure the posts per page setting there is more then 6

    Thanks, Ben, I checked the Reading Settings. “Blog pages show at most” is set to 50. It has always been the same.

    But the sudden change from two rows of posts (6 posts) to one row of 3 posts is quite recent. It changed about a month ago.

    i deactivated plugins as earlier suggested by Hannah but it made no change.

    Also, just fyi, I have not installed any new plugins for several months.

    Can you send a screen shot showing the settings on the “Module Latest Posts” page. I can’t recreate an issue where the posts are limited to 3.

    Ben, thanks so much. I’m sorry, I had settings for theme options/blog posts but not for the home page layout modules. I’m not sure I was even aware of those modules.
    Sorry for being a complete idiot!
    And thank you very much for your help.
    All lovely now. I have it set to 9 posts.
