This is strongly dependant of the fact if you have exif and iptc boxes on, and if on, how much iptc and exif data is present.

If both off on large numbers of slides with name, description and filmstrip it is approx 3 queries per photo.

Why don’t you set a page size for slideshows to, say 50 or 100 in Table I-B8?

Thanks, that is a really helpful advice: much shorter loading time, and less probable queries to my server… 2 things come to my mind now, the first one not so important: 1) would it be possible to have, let′s say, 12 pagination numbers visible at once?… 2) would it be possible to autoload+autoplay next page at the end of a running slideshow page?

    thanks a lot!

    Update/correction:

    The right numbers are:
    1 for the slide.
    1 for the filmstrip.
1 for the exif if the exif box is open in Table II-B.
1 for the iptc if the iptc box is open in Table II-B.
1 for the comments if the comments box is open in Table II-B

    1. To be considered
    2. Maybe in the future, i am aware of this wish, but that is very complicated.

hi! one more question is how does it work random order and pagination. Is it possible to find the same image in 2 different pages? When loading another page, is it recalculated the random order again? thanks

In this case the random seed is saved and re-used to get the same sequence.
at least… that should be the case. I just discovered that it does not do it, will be fixed in 5.2.21

let′s say, 12 pagination numbers visible at once?

    Implemented in 5.2.21 Table I-A9
