Number of posts on front page

  • Hi,
    does anybody know how to limit number of posts on front page?
    As there are lots of posts on my web site it loads quite long time.
    I am using Frontier theme, and so far I am not able to find any solution.
    The usual suspect Settings/Read/ – “Blog pages show at most” is not working.
