Number of Comments Per Blog

I want to change the number of comments per page for my blogs. However, when I changed the number, nothing happened. What I did was go to my WordPress and go to Discussion and then changed the number after “Break comments into pages of” to 10. However, my comment pages are still showing more than that. Anyone know how to fix this?
