In the settings for number format, you distinguish between “European and American number format”

I do believe the description is wrong when you differenciated the two formats:
    1,234,567.89:
China, Ireland, Israel, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States
–>(“America”, yes, but event UK and Ireland belong to Europe….)

    1.234.567,89
Brazil, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Indonesia, Italy, Netherlands (currency), Portugal, Romania, Slovenia, Spain (older),[19] Sweden (not recommended)
–>(parts of “Europe” only, no France and some very remote countries)

I would just offer Format 1 and 2 and say perhaps “e.g. U.S.A, UK” and for the other one maybe “Common alternative”.
