Nubee with Search Everything

    Downloaded V5 and installed per instructions and activated plugin. However, I assume one has to integrate the code into the standard WP search right? Looked at the FAQ and it says to look at the installation guide — which I can’t find. With plugin activated, no difference in the standard search behavior. I know that I need to do something but don’t know where to start.

  • 3. Go to the Plugins page in your WordPress Administration area and click ‘Activate’ next to Search Everything.
    4. Go to the Options > Search Everything and configure your site.

    Yes, I activated the plugin and yes, I configured it for search options.

    How exactly does Search Everything change the behavior of WP if not through adding some code somewhere?

    I used started using it today, only for the search tags option.

    It integrates with the wp search through the files you uploaded to the plugin folder. If you select the option for tags then do a search you will see more posts returned. Thats the easyest way to verify it.

    This plugin does not give additional options to the blog-user. It changes the way the search-query works.
