Let me preface this by saying that I think that this is a very useful plugin.

I understand that the WP community tends to expect something for nothing and I do believe that programmers should be properly compensated for their work. I regularly use premium plugins and add-ons. That being said, it sucks when a free plugin once had functionality that is then stripped out from the free version and added to a premium add-on. I’m talking specifically about ACF fields… previously they worked perfectly in the free version of this plugin. Now, the developer license is $249 per year for this “add-on.” I think that this is incredibly steep. Especially considering that you can buy ACF Pro itself for a one-time fee of $100.

Looks like I’ll be looking into the manage_posts_custom_column filter myself…

I have good news then, the functionality is still there. You can use your ACF fields using the “Custom Fields” column type.

The reason we created an add-on for the ACF integration is too enable us to hook into the ACF API, which will let you inline-edit all the ACF fields and also list all the available types in dropdown list. It’s available from $149, you don’t need the developer licence.

Don’t worry, we will never strip functionality form the free version. Every piece of functionality we added from day one is still in the plugin today. We do regular updates on the free version and give free support on the forums. Sometimes we might rename something or change the interface a bit, but we totally agree with you there.

That’s great to hear! Thank you for the clarification Tobias.

Came here to say something along the lines of what yellowhousedesign posted. Found this thread. Was delighted to hear that ACF fields still work!

Went to my dashboard to add some ACF columns, but unfortunately ACF fields don’t show up in the “Custom Fields” column type either (at least not for my particular WP installation at https://newsite.tfmgt.com/).

Any idea why this might be?

Nevermind, it’s because I had no data in the fields yet.

ACF fields are now showing up that I have added some posts with the ACF fields populated.
