• Hello,

I’m being using your plugin for several months without a problem with the WooCommerce shop kalasandra.com and WPML multicurrency.

Now I’ve noticed that it asks now for an API key, we get the API key from https://exchangeratesapi.io but not found were to place this API key because in the settings’ plugin we are redirected to WooCommerce Multicurrency setup with no way to set the API key.

Can you please help with this issue because since the end of March no currency update has been made?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @uidb4056,

Actually, there a big shifts on the WCML side as well. Even simply adding API Key stopped working and they told me, that in WCML 4.12 the Exchange rate API will be part of the service.

Adding another open API is an option, but on a quick check, I haven’t found any that allows exchanges from different currencies other than EUR (or USD). And the second thing is money – I’m happy to implement a new API if someone will sponsor that, otherwise I’m rather thinking about closing the plugin – it has so few users and I don’t need it personally that it doesn’t make too much sense.

    Best regards,
    Karolina

    Hi Karolina,

I don’t know how much mean to sponsor this new plugin, but for now we will update the currencies manually.

    Best regards,
    Robert

    Hi Robert,

I think you’ve contacted me as well directly and I already answered this question. However, sponsorship is welcome in any amount – adding this feature would take me at least 2 hours.

Right now – there are is a broken part in WCML, they promised to let me know if they can fix it otherwise they don’t want to touch it since the behavior will change with the next release.

I really did what I could, but this is kind of pain of plugins extending other plugins – you don’t have control over.

    K.

    Hi Karolina,

Ok lets see what happens with the broken part of WCML, after that we can consider what to do. In the meantime I will deactivate the plugin and maintain the currencies manually.

Let me know when something will change about this.

    Best regards,

    Robert
