Novice help please for Amazon Affiliate

  • Hi,

    I was hoping you could help me just make sure i’m getting it correct when using your plug in please.

    I’m an affiliate for Amazon in the UK, US and Canada.

    So am i correct in thinking i would use this code in just 1 link and then depending on if the customer is in the US, UK or Canada, they will see the correct amazon link?

    [CBC_AMAZON asin=”0470877014″ country=”us, uk, ca”]My affiliate link[/CBC_AMAZON]

    i would obviously replace the Asin code for the product.

    Also, if i have put my 3 diff Affiliate associate tags in the plug in page, do i need to replace the bit that says ‘my affiliate link’ in the short code? or does that stay as is please?

    Also i currently use the Link button in the wordpress post to highlight a word and turn it into a link. So i input the link in the pop up box. I’m guessing this won’t work with that, so how do i insert this short code please, to make a certain word become the link, for eg ‘get the book HERE’ where the word HERE would become a link.

    I have managed to get it working as a word link, i just have to replace the ‘My Affiliate link’ with the correct text so that bits all sorted!

    BUT when i had it like this….

    [CBC_AMAZON asin=”0470877014″ country=”us, uk, ca”]My affiliate link[/CBC_AMAZON]

    and i clicked on the link in the post it took me to the US site version of the product and i’m in the UK.

    Is this a known issue please? or am i doing something wrong?
