• We’re having a problem with the notification settings – Editors have the notification box, but authors do not. Strangely, they USED TO have this option, but no more.

We followed a couple of suggestions found here: Disabling User Role Editor (no change) and updating the user in question from author to admin and back again (no change).

    Any suggestions?

  • I also have this problem. When an author/contributor submits a post for review, there is no option for notification and there is no automatic trigger either.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I too have this problem. I have an account assigned the contributor role and when I am creating the post it doesn’t display any notification options. Is there a way for me to add this role to have this access?

    Thanks,
    Rich

I ended up disabling the Custom Statuses option for Edit Flow and adding Peter’s Collaboration E-mails. I use Peter’s plugin for the initial notification to editors, i.e. notification of a new post. Then use the Edit-Flow notification tools for any subsequent changes and edits to the post.

    Thank you! ??

I’m having a similar issue here, where contributors do not have the notification box, but authors/editors do. All it takes is a modification of the role for a user and the notification section appears in the compose/edit post page.
