    Hello,

Just installed BNWP and testing a “New post notification”. The only recipient for the test is “Administrator” (me).

    1. When publishing a new post, I recieve the notification email twice at the same time. Both are exactly the same, sent at the same time.
    2. As the blog is in two languages, each post is translated from French (main language) to English by the WPML plugin. Both languages ??appear as a single post in the list of posts. But in the notification sent, permalink is always the English language post ! Is there a possibility to insert the permalink according to the language registered by each user?

Many thanks for you support to fix that.

    Hi @pschitt,
    Thanks for your message.

At present, BNFW isn’t compatible with the WPML plugin.
I’ve investigated this before but it doesn’t appear possible to prevent multiple notifications as there’s no difference, from a code perspective, between two posts (albeit in different languages) being published.

I’ll re-investigate this but I have a feeling that there isn’t much that can be done in this scenario.

    Hi @voltronik,

    Thanks for the reply.

I’m surprised that as both post in French and English have the same permalink (exemple of my blog : /blog?p=13602, that generates two notification. The only difference in permalink is “&lang=en” at the end of the English version.

But anyway, thank you for answering. With bnfw, do you maybe know another WP plugin that lets generate several language versions of a post without generating multiple notifications ?

    Many thanks

    Hi @pschitt,
I understand. I’ll see waht I come up with – something might have changed in WPML or WordPress since I last looked so you never know.

I don’t know of a specific plugin that’s compatible unfortunately.
