NOTIFICATIONS ISSUES

Hello,
I have posted a number of times in various support sections. I am not getting notifications properly. I checked with my hosting company 3 times. It now appears as though I sometimes get notifications to a gmail address I have, but my profile for wordpress has my hosting email (which I put on purpose) as my email address.
I first had issues with my contact form, now I have issues with comments as well and am not getting back to prospective clients on time.
I don’t know where I have the gmail address listed, I have checked profile, email, notifications etc. I’m not even sure this is the problem or not, but it’s my latest theory.
In summary, I am not getting notifications sent to me by wordpress and there seems to be another one of my email addressed that sometimes does get these notifications, but I CAN NOT find it!
Please help me. Again, this is over 2 weeks since I’ve been trying to correct this problem and I’m at a loss for what to do next.
