    Hi @dmitrysh

    I hope you’re well today!

The error that you see refers to Firewall attempting to check IP geo-location for logouts and apparently the target API server (which is a 3rd-party API) was either temporarily down or rejecting requests from your site. But it looks like it was temporarily off.

You can instead configure Defender to use locally hosted MaxMind geo-IP database by going to “Defender -> Firewall -> IP Banning” page and following instructions under “Locations” section there.

This will make your site download MaxMind IP database and lookup IP locations locally.

However, it doesn’t seem to be related to notifications. If you go to “Defender -> Notifications” page – which notifications do you have enabled currently? None of those enabled are working or just some of them (which ones)?

Are notifications not sent at all or only to certain e-mail addresses (if there are more than one recipient for notifications) and if it’s the latter – are those e-mail addresses not registered on your site for user accounts by any chance?

    Please advise.

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Hi Adam,

Your are right, notifications work only for default user’s email on ADD USERS tab and for emails on INVITE BY EMAIL tab and doesn’t work for other users on ADD USERS tab.

    Thanks, Dmitriy

    Hi @dmitrysh,

and doesn’t work for other users on ADD USERS tab.

So just to be clear, the notifications don’t work for existing users when you try to add them?

If yes, I tried to test it on my server, but it works when tested. Could you please use a plugin like an Email log which should pick if an email gets sent or not from the website?

Once installed, please check whether the plugin detects whether the emails are getting sent or not.

The above would help in pinpointing whether the issue is specific to Defender or with emails.

Please do let us know how that goes. Looking forward to your response.

    Kind Regards,
    Nithin
