Notification when comment is approved

    Hi,

    How to send a notification to author when admin approved a comment ?

    I’m very surprised that this functionality is not available.

    Hi @ponyx,
    Thanks for your message.

    You can check ‘Send this notification to the Author’ when using the New Comment notification. I think this should achieve what you’re looking for.

    Hi,

    It doesn’t work, like you explain in your documentation :
    “[…] In order to use this notification correctly, you need to un-tick ‘Email me whenever anyone posts a comment’ and ‘A comment is held for moderation’ under Settings > Discussion in the WordPress Admin […]”

    But I need to moderate comment before publish them on my websites.
    So I want to use “New Comment Awaiting Moderation Notification” to notify admin that a new comment is published (this notification is working well) and them use “New Comment Notification” to notify post author when admin approve the comment (this is not working).

    Hi @ponyx,
    Have you disabled those settings in the WP Admin? I appreciate you want to do this but there’s no way of directly overriding these settings so they need to be deactivated in order for BNFW to be able to replace them and work correctly.

    IF they’re deactivated, do the notifications work as expected?
