    Hi
I am testing the email verification plugin. After submitting my details I should be taken to a statement telling me to check my inbox for the verification email however I find that after submitting registration details I am just taken to the home page. I still cant sign in without verifying the email and it is sent but as I say the process is missing that step with the notification telling you to check your email. Can you help ?

    Hi,

There are a couple of options that you can configure to fix this. In the plugin’s settings

General > Redirect on Success > Do not redirect
General > Redirect on Failure > Enable the Redirect on Failure option (You can leave the custom redirect URL blank)
Blocking > Log out unverified users > Enable Log out unverified users on every page

Please let me know if you continue having trouble with this.

    Thank you Zohaib
My theme’s author managed to fix this. However, the welcome email with login url comes first and doesnt work as it wont work before clicking on the email verification link in the second email. I’d like to either change the order of these emails or just completely disable the welcome email as its a bit redundant anyway seeing as the login link is on the website. Is that possible ?

    Hi,

You can try and use the option under:

Email > Activation Email > Send as a separate email > Disable

This will combine the welcome email and the verification email into one email.

    Hi Andrew,

Yes, it’s in the plugin’s settings:

WooCommerce > Settings > Email Verification> Email > Activation Email > Send as a separate email > Disable

I seem to have generated a new problem now. when the user registers and clicks the verification link they get an error message “You need to become a paying customer in order to activate your account.”
I’ve tried every combination of settings I can think of but can’t break through this. Any ideas ?
    Kind regards
    Andrew
