This plugin has been working correctly for some months but today a Post Notification did not get sent. It simply sat in the queue along with two other earlier notifications that were marked as Complete.
Eventually I clicked the “release queue” button and the emails were sent. Now only this one is listed so was there a problem with the previous notifications?
Can you suggest why this might have needed manual intervention so I can prevent this in future?

I have had to deactivate and reactivate the plugin on more than one occasion after it “lost” its WP cron tasks. I’m not sure why it can’t detect that and put them back… We missed 3 weeks before I noticed and reactivated it. Then it messed up one of the notifications.

Makes me wonder if I should drop the wp cron and go to using it’s own cron task. Might be more reliable.

This is nothing new, I having this issue as well. First time I encountered it what was 2019!. Testing alternative plug-ins to solve this issue. I think it has to do with the limit of 30 minutes instead of being send pretty much straight away. Tried all kinds of solutions… a clean install with this plug-in running and it’s still sits there for ages, more than 30 minutes!

What’s the point of a 30 minutes queue that often gets messed up and becomes days long? Isn’t it just better that the email goes away as soon as possible?

Admin: Is there anything to be done about this?
