Notification settings changes don’t stick

Do you have any caching in place (plugin/CDN/server)? Does it help if you clear ALL cache, including your browser’s?

If not, please confirm if the issue persists when you temporarily switch to a default WP theme (ex., Twenty Twenty-Three) and all the other plugins except Solid Security Basic are deactivated – Checking for a Conflict.

If the issue persists, please enable WP Debug (including SCRIPT_DEBUG) and check for any errors when you save the Notifications settings, navigate away, and return to the settings. Here’s how to enable it: Debugging in WordPress. If you turned off the displaying of the errors, please check your site’s debug.log file. Check your browser’s console, too, for script errors that might’ve come up when you re-saved the settings.

I’d also recommend checking your server’s logs for related errors that could give us a clue as to what’s causing the settings not to save/revert.
