Hey @fangelo360,
Thanks for reaching out and thank you for your detailed video!
We tried replicating this issue locally by creating a Simple Product and adding a Variable Product as a purchase dependency: https://cl.ly/a41df4bb3b69. We then viewed the store’s archive page from a mobile screen and clicked the Add to Cart button that showed up below the Simple Product. As you can see in this video: https://cl.ly/f0b1e6569913, we were redirected to the Simple product’s page and the dependency notification showed up as expected.
There is a chance that a conflict with your active theme or some other plugin prevents this notice from showing up in your case.
Here’s how we usually address this type of issue:
- Temporarily switch back to a default WordPress theme (such as Twenty Seventeen). If this resolves the issue, then please bring this to the attention of your theme author.
- If the issue persists, then disable all other plugins except for WooCommerce and Product Dependencies. If this fixes the issue, then slowly re-enable plugins until you find the one that triggers it.
To avoid causing any problems to your live site, the best way to do this would be to try setting up a staging site, for example using a plugin such as WP Staging or Duplicator — and then troubleshoot the issue on the staging site.
Note that some hosts provide a Control Panel option for creating development/staging sites easily — if you are not sure about this, it might be worth asking your host as this is definitely the easiest and fastest way to do it.
Let us know what you find out!
Cheers,
