When someone fills out this form on my website, they do not receive the notification email. Despite checking their spam folders, the email does not arrive. I have tested it with individuals from various countries and email providers such as Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo, etc. As the admin, I receive the notification, but these emails also end up in my spam folder. Neither the theme provider not the hosting provider can’t do anything, they checked everything they could.

    Hi @tomip,

I hope you are doing well today!

There are several possible reasons why the notification email is not being received by users or ending up in spam folders. Here are some steps you can take to resolve the issue:

Use an SMTP plugin: In some cases, emails sent from WordPress can be flagged as spam or not be sent at all due to server settings. To overcome this issue, you can use an SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) plugin which allows you to send emails through a third-party email service instead of your hosting server. This can improve email deliverability. Some recommended SMTP plugins are:

    Check Frominator’s email settings:

    • Ensure that the “Send an email to the user” option is enabled in your form’s settings.
    • Double-check the email address specified in the “Send To Email” field to confirm it is correct.
    • Check the email’s subject line and content for any special characters or words that might trigger spam filters, and revise if necessary.

    Configure email notifications:

    • Enable the “Reply-To” option in your form settings, so the user’s email address is added as the reply-to address, which can help with email deliverability.
    • Consider setting up a custom email address that uses your domain name, like “[email protected]”, as the “From” address, which can appear more professional and trustworthy to email providers.
    1. Use a dedicated email delivery service: Email services like Mailgun, SendGrid, or Amazon SES are specifically designed to improve email deliverability. These services can be used in conjunction with SMTP plugins to ensure that your notification emails are reliably delivered. Most of these services have a monthly fee, though they often offer free tiers with limited usage.
    2. Finally, check with your hosting provider to make sure your server has the necessary requirements/configuration for WordPress to send emails.

    Kind regards,
    Zafer
