I’ve set up the notification emails and made sure to only use our domain email. I’m able to receive the client confirmation email but I’m still not receiving our booking notification. Is there usually a lag?

  • Im having the same problem. Client requesting for the appointment/booking gets a confirmation email but I don’t get the email. I have double check the setting and don’t get any emails notification of the reservation. Also not in spam/junk email.

    Hi,

Please check the “from” email address used in the settings. Note that if you use a “from” email from a public email service like “@hotmail.com”, “@aol.com”, “@outlook.com”, “@gmail.com”, … it will be filtered by most antispam systems since the email will be identified as “not originated at the expected server”.

Try using a “from” address that belongs to the website domain.

Thank you for using the plugin!

Installing an email log plugin may help also to confirm that the email is being sent out of the WordPress website and confirm that it is being lost at the email server side.

Let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for your response. As I have mentioned, the email notification gets sent out successfully to the user requesting for the appointment BUT not to the admin. (1) If your suggestion is true, then the email will be blocked totally on both recipients, admin and client/user. (2) I also mentioned that the email was also not found in the junk/spam inbox.(3) Finally, see below that the email domain and the website domain are identical.

    Hi,

Please try installing an email log plugin to confirm that the email is being sent out of the WordPress website and to confirm if it is being lost at the email server side. This will help to detect the location of the problem.

    Thank you.

Email is being sent out as I can receive the test email to the client to confirm the appointment has been booked. As I already stated, we are not using HotMail, Gmail, etc., we are using our domain as the email. This issue is not resolved. I just have limited internet connection during this crisis.

According to the Email Log, the emails have been sent.

    Hi,

If the emails appear in the email logs plugin then that means that are sent out of the WordPress website and lost somewhere out of the website. In these cases please check the destination email address, it may be incorrect or its email server may be rejecting the email.

Using an external SMTP service to deliver the emails is a solution in the case the issue with the destination email server isn’t solved. By using an external SMTP service to deliver the emails you will be using a different route to deliver the emails and it may be accepted by the destination email server.

Of course, another solution is to use a destination email address hosted in a different server and then setup an email forwarding if needed.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need further assistance.

    Thanks.
