    Hello,

The notification email formatting I receive has recently changed (approx. between may and july). Before, it was correctly HTML-formatted and readable. Now, it is “HTML as text”, incorrectly showing all the tags. Something like :

    <p>Vous avez une?nouvelle?soumission de formulaire?: </p>
    <ol>
    <li><b>Nom et prénom</b><br />Lecomte eric</li>
    <li><b>Courriel</b><br /><a href=”mailto:[email protected]“>ssdsdsdsdsd@free.fr</a></li>
    <li><b>Téléphone</b><br />+33 6 11 44 22 89</li>
    <li><b>Jour</b><br />Indifférent</li>
    <li><b>Nbre de cours de 2h30</b><br />20</li>
    <li><b>Date de début</b><br />05/09/2023</li>

What could be the cause ? Is there something I can tune in the plugin/form parameters ?

Apart from that, it works like a charm ??

    Thanks for your help,

    Hi @jpib

    I hope you’re well today!

We didn’t change that on purpose and it should be working same way as it did before. I actually tested it just now to make sure with current and older versions of Forminator and I can’t replicate this issue.

However, I did see some cases in the past that there were issues with some specific e-mail clients. What e-mail client(s) are you using to read those notifications? Did you test with different ones and if it only happens in some – which ones (including OS if it’s not online client)?

Would you mind sharing a link to the page with the form (and set the form to send notification to submitting user as well) so we could test how it works for us?

    Best regards,
    Adam

Hi, thanks for your quick reply.

I use gmail as client (web interface, chrome/windows10).

I have added the subscriber email to the notification. In case you would like to test it : https://www.atelierdesgirelles.fr/inscription-aux-cours-du-soir/

    Thanks for your help

    H @jpib,

I could notice the issue on your site once submitted, however, it isn’t something we could replicate when tested in our test site

In general, such behaviour occurs if there is a conflict. Could we know whether you tried to rule that out? You could give a quick test by disabling all the plugins except Forminator and by switching to a default WP theme to see whether you could replicate the same issue or not.

If the issue is still the same even after following the above steps then could you please share the form export so that we could check the existing configuration?

Please check the following doc on how to export a form:
    https://wpmudev.com/docs/wpmu-dev-plugins/forminator/#import-export

If you are concerned about any sensitive information in the form, then you can duplicate your form, remove any sensitive information, and then export it.

You can share the export file via Google Drive, Dropbox or any cloud services in the next reply.

    Looking forward to your response.

    Best Regards,

    Nithin

    Hi Nithin,

Following your advice I disabled some plugins, and found the culprit – “Check & Log Email” is doing its job, but somehow breaks the email contents. So I replaced it with something similar and everything is back to normal regarding Forminator notifications.

Many thanks for your help !
