notification bell not providing recent notifications

Hi,

I’ve been having a variety of issues since making the migration from wp.com to wp.org.

I’ve been told by Jetpack support that, finally, likes are now working on my website (don’t know what they did or changed to do this, however).

However, while you can indeed see a like on an individual post by going to that actual post on the website, I don’t get a notification about it (via the notification app, an email or on the wordpress app on my phone). i can see a couple of likes for the above post on the stats page, but no details of who liked it, or who has recently followed the blog etc.

i’ve cleared my browser cache, my website cache, checked for javascript errors (none are showing) on multiple browsers (brave/chrome/edge) and there is no change or difference.

i’ve deactivated (and then later re-activated) every plug in on the website, with no change: these notifications used to happily appear, even after the migration – but now I get nothing but old data.

is there anything else I can do?
