Notification bar overlaps header

  • I really hope somebody can help me with this.

    Problem:
    I installed a plugin for adding a notification bar/banner at the top of my screen. That bar is set to “fixed” and so is this theme’s header. When I begin scrolling down the page, the theme’s header slips underneath the notification bar/banner. I am trying to prevent this overlapping effect but seriously don’t know how. Can someone please help me resolve this? It would mean the world to me. Below is a link to a sample page to see this overlapping effect in action.

    UPDATE:

    I managed to get rid of the overlapping effect. However, this resulted in a new problem. Just before I reach the top page, a white bar flashes under the header. This happens all pages for some reason. How do I prevent this white flash from appearing all of the time. Please click the link below to see what I mean.

    It seems like you have added some additional CSS or the Pulgin you have installed has brought the issue. Could you remove the additional CSS if added any?

    Hi Sabina,

    Yes you’re right. I added additional CSS in attempt to prevent the top notification bar from overlapping the header when I scroll down. I have removed the added CSS and now have the overlapping problem again. Do you know how I prevent the notification bar from overlapping my header. Thank you for the response by the way.

    We checked your site but didn’t see any div of any notification bar. Did you deactivate the notification plugin? If so activate it and send us the URL. Also, we checked the Homepage. It seems to be working fine in the Homepage. Is this the problem with other pages only?
