We have the latest version of WordPress, and the latest version of Elegant Themes (Divi) and the <?php wp_body_open(); ?> in the header.php file.

Notification bar still doesn’t appear and there is a giant white space under the menu.

I can’t supply a link because it’s on a staging site that requires username and password. Can I supply you with a test account privately so you can see what the issue is? I don’t want the notification bar under the menu, I want it at the very top of the site (as in your screenshots).

Most issues like the one you mention would be caused by incorrectly coded sticky header/menu functions which don’t take into account elements inserted at the top of the site.

In fact, when looking at this Divi demo – https://www.elegantthemes.com/preview/Divi/- I can clearly see that their sticky header functionality is done by applying a padding to the top of the site and setting the header in a fixed position, if this padding isn’t properly calculated anything that comes before the header will not be visible. I recorded a video demonstrating the issue: https://a.cl.ly/NQu752rX – notice how custom content added before the header isn’t visible and a space gets added under the header? This sounds a lot like the issue you are having.

Can you try disabling the sticky menu/header function in the theme to see if everything works as expected?

    Any luck?
