Notice: wpcf7_add_shortcode

  • Hi
    I had two error notices related to cf7 in my dashboard this morning. One was to do with time limit, which my host helped me to fix. Bit this one still alerts me. My hosts says I’m not actually using this function so it seems to be giving a false positive:
    Notice: wpcf7_add_shortcode is deprecated since Contact Form 7 version 4.6! Use wpcf7_add_form_tag instead. in /home/mallor15/public_html/wp-content/plugins/contact-form-7/includes/functions.php on line 365

    What other plugins and theme do you use on the site?

    Hi Takayuki
    The theme is Javo Directory V2. The author did an update a couple of years ago but the update was effectively a new theme. He advsed V2 users to stay on this theme and promised to keep it supported but of course he hasnt and he refuses to provide support so I’m on my own regards the theme.
    I am not a developer and due to the theme’s author refusing to support me, I am largely reliant on plugins because I cant afford a developer. Consequently I have quite a long list of plugins. Rather than me listing them all for you here are there any specific ones you are thinking of or would it help if I listed them all here ?

    Try searching “wpcf7_add_shortcode is deprecated” on this site. You’ll find problematic plugins and themes.

    I mean in this page you are seeing now. Use “Search forums” field in the upper right corner.
