Notice: Undefined variable error

    After upgrading to 3.8.3 the 1.9.17 plugin didn’t work so I installed 1.9.14. It works but I’m getting error:

    Notice: Undefined variable: i in /customers/f/0/a/sthlm-herp.net/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/nextcellent-gallery-nextgen-legacy/view/gallery.php on line 50

    also this on galleries with caption:

    Notice: Undefined variable: i in /customers/f/0/a/sthlm-herp.net/httpd.www/wp-content/plugins/nextcellent-gallery-nextgen-legacy/view/gallery-caption.php on line 51

    Tried to inactivate plugins but nothing helped
