Ok, I just tried on our test blog and it looks fine. It must be a template issue then. Maybe you can ask the template creator about it?

I figured it out: the problem is the new_thin_google.png, not the theme. When using the old_thin_google.png it works. You have to edit the png-file to correct that problem.
