Notice: Undefined index Error :(

    I have spent 3 days to fix this problem but I can’t. Can someone help me.

    Problem:
    I create widget for display recent post by category.

    I got this error: Notice: Undefined index: category in C:\xampp\htdocs\xxxxxx\wp-content\themes\xxxxxxx\widgets\recent_post.php on line 21

    This is line 21:
    if( !$category = $instance["category"] ) $category='';

    Please help me.
