Notice messages cannot be dismissed

    After updating to the latest version of WP Ultimate CSV Importer (5.1) the following notices appear at the top of WordPress pages:

    1. Upgrade Notice: Download and replace the latest version of WP Ultimate CSV Importer for 10x faster import performance with easy user interface.
    2. Notice: To populate Featured images, Please make sure that CRON is enabled in your server.
    3. If you love WP Ultimate CSV Importer show us you care with a 5-star review on www.remarpro.com!

    The Upgrade and Review notices have a dismiss icon (circle with X) but the CRON notice does not.

    Clicking the dismiss icon removes the message from the active screen, but visiting another page or refreshing the page brings the notice back.

    How can these notices be permanently dismissed?

    Sorry for the inconvenience!
    You can dismiss the “Upgrade notice” & “Review notice” from the “Ultimate CSV Importer Free” plugin.

    The “CRON notice” which helps to the users who are not configured the WP-CRON as default. So we placed a notice as default. It will be no longer available from the future releases.

    You also say “he “CRON notice” which helps to the users who are not configured the WP-CRON as default.” WP-CRON is configured to run on my installation, so I do not understand why I am getting this notice.

    Hi,

    You can remove the CRON notice by commenting the following line in the index.php file of WP Ultimate CSV Importer

    add_action( ‘admin_notices’, array(‘SmackUCIInstall’, ‘important_cron_notice’) );

    The CRON notice will be made removable from the next release.

    I can’t find that option in the plugin admin area. Also, when selecting the Settings tab, I get a screen that says “Sorry, you are not allowed to access this page.” so maybe that’s where it’s located? I’m primary admin and did the install, so not sure why I wouldn’t have access to that tab.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi all,

    Kindly upgrade to v5.1.1 All the notices including the CRON notice can be dismissed. You have to dismiss them from the plugin page. You can even access the Settings page in this version.

    I have the exact same problem. I have v5.1.1 and WP v4.7.2. The “Notice…” message instantly goes away when I deactivate the plugin.

    What is the solution to this problem?

    Hi Yush,

    You can remove the notice messages from the plugin page. After the activation of the plugin move to any of the WP Ultimate CSV Importer pages like Dashboard, Import/Update, Export, Settings, Support and try removing the notices. It wont appear again.
