Hello, my site went down earlier this evening and stayed down for around an hour. The only thing I have been able to find is the error “Notice: Jetpack_Options was called incorrectly. Not all plugins have loaded yet but we requested the class Jetpack_Options Please see Debugging in WordPress for more information. (This message was added in version 1.3.0.0.) in site-name/wp-includes/functions.php on line 5167”. It started about 9 minutes before the site went offline and is still erroring even though the site is back online. It has been reported in the error_log in the main directory and wp-admin folder although it did not start in the wp-admin folder until after the site came back online. The last plugin to be updated before the error started was “Limit Login Attempts Reloaded” by “WPChef” and was updated about a day before the error started (I doubt that is causing it but I figured I’d throw it in). Haven’t found anything else that was modified around the time it started. Thanks for your time.

    Hi there!

The PHP notice that you’re seeing is just a notice, not an error, and it wouldn’t have caused your site to go down. That notice means that something requested the Jetpack_Options class earlier than expected, before all of the plugins have been loaded. Even though the class was requested earlier than expected, the class is still loaded.

I would like to investigate why that PHP notice suddenly started being generated. Something must have changed and caused the class to be requested earlier than expected.

Thanks for the information about the “Limit Login Attempts Reloaded” plugin being recently updated. I’m not familiar with that plugin, so I’ll take a look at it.

Would you be able to tell us which site this is happening on, as well as what version of Jetpack you’re using?

If you’re not comfortable providing that publicly here, please contact us via this form and we’ll be happy to look into in more detail:? https://jetpack.com/contact-support/?rel=support

Hello kbrownkd, here is the site it was happening on and what version of Jetpack I am using. Also, I just checked the error logs again and relized that the error started during the time that the site was offline, not before, and it ended around 11:40 PM CST (it started around 10:30 PM) so I’m not sure if you all will want to continue pursuing this. If you do want to I will help with anything you need.

    JetPack Version: 8.4.2

    Thanks, fgp827

Oh okay, if it only happened while the site was offline and has not continued since it was online again, I think we’ll just let this be. Thanks for letting us know.
