• Adsense Manager was a new WordPress plugin to help manage Adsense ads on your blog. While other plugins required you to copy and paste code from the Google Adsense site, Adsense Manager generated the code automatically.

Unfortunately, AdSense Manager has been banned by Google for being in violation of unspecified T&Cs, and my account has been suspended. Without any information to correct the problem I have no choice but to remove AdSense Manager from distribution.

More information is available in this post. A series of FAQs are available on the WordPress Extend site.

You can of course show your support for AdSense Manager by sending a short comment to Google.

Thanks are due to the thousands of users who’ve supported AdSense Manager during the development of the plugin. It’s been good… up to now!

All the best & best of luck with your blogs.

jtdataworks: Thanks for that, I’ve gone with AdBrite which seems a pretty equivalent setup to Google. Might cover the hosting costs yet…

mutube: thanks for the info mate, I have downloaded and upgraded from 2.1 to 2.3 now… sorry to hear this plugin has got you in some ****, its a great plugin in my opinion.

    mutube,
    sorry–that was a cool plugin.

I guess that we don’t know the complete story. I wonder if you used something like content generator to fill your blog with 3rd party information. I heard that Google can ban you for that, so maybe the problem isn’t the adsense plugin but your content.

Just to clear this up as I still get asked questions about it: the issue is completely resolved between me and Google and on reasonable terms. Be Nice was removed as requested and then replaced in a way which doesn’t violate the Google T&Cs (and I have this in writing).

The plugin continues to be developed and has just made the grand old age of v3.0. I’ve added referral links in the interface to try and generate revenue that way: if it makes equivalent to Be Nice (currently ~$30/mo) I’ll remove Be Nice again. I don’t need to be rich just comfortable ??

Hope that clears it up for everyone who reads this thread 9 months in the future!

So I’m confused, Adsense Manager works now or it’s totally gone, which would really suck. I tried updating the plug-in like a week ago and got a few fatal errors, I tried agian and still wasn’t able to fix it. Now my categories are gone and I have no ads?

And I have this ugly ass error on my home page.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function adsensem_ad() in /home/stickine/public_html/wp-content/themes/themasterplan_tma_v1/tma/ad_home.php on line 3

Sorry for the code, but I need some freaking help.

    mutub,

your adsense mgr does not seem to limit the number of adsense ads to the 3 limit on adsense referrals on my WordPress home page. What am I doing wrong? Maybe when I am setting up the referral ad?

    Please advise.

    TY

    mutub,

I also wanted to mention too that I cannot get the Widget to work on my pagebar for inserting adsense. It won’t show up.

    any thoughts?

    miom
