    Hi Peter!

So sorry to hear this! Did you perhaps update from a beta version? It sounds like a browser caching issue. Could you try clearing your browser cache?

After deleting for the third time my browser cache and deleting and installing Surecart, i can add a product item. But I can’t add a picture.

Thanks so much for following up. Are you getting any type of error message on your end?

When I try to add an image, i don’t get any error.

Thanks for the additional info. What happens when you try to add an image exactly? I’m running some tests on my end and any additional information you can provide will be helpful.

    What has changed??

Now when I want to add a picture, I see all the pictures I try to add before.

But when I want to add a new picture, it still isn’t working.

    I click on “Add Image”
    Then on “Upload Image”
I select the image I want.
After that I see an turning icon.
And then I don’t see the image that I uploaded.
    I never get an error.

When I select an uploaded image that I want to delete, then after deleting I still see the image. I also can select this image. But when I want to save the product, I get an error: “An internal server error has occurred. We have been notified and will look into it.”

Thanks for the additional info! I think it sounds like maybe some of this data is being cached by your WordPress server. Here’s why

    1. When you upload an image, it does not appear in the list since the existing request is cached. It’s showing the older data.
    2. When attempting to add an image to a product, it’s grabbing a previously deleted image. Since the request is cached it’s not showing as deleted which is why you are able to select it. We’re going to fix that error message to be more descriptive.
    3. Uploading images only showed up after a specific period of time, because data is being cached on your end by the server.

Do you have any sort of server-side caching running? Perhaps something like Redis which could cache the WordPress REST API or outgoing WordPress http requests?

My website is running on a LiteSpeed webserver with the LiteSpeed Cache Plugin installed.

I disabled “Cache REST API” and now it looks that it’s working.

Ah, great! Thanks so much for posting the solution.

I think we’ll have to find out a compatibility fix for that setting.

If you run into any other hurdles, please feel free to open a support ticket anytime.

    Surely this isn’t still a 1-star review?

    GREAT Support there Surecart!

This got my attention because he mentioned litespeed. Will be a massive deal breaker if this doesn’t work stuff litespeed by default. It also shows that you may not be aware of what’s in vogue in the web server space. Litespeed is a must especially considering how quickly it’s growing in popularity. If I ever see a 1 star ? on a plugin that claims to be the woocommrce replacement of tomorrow, I would not expect it to be server incompatibility issue. It just doesn’t show confidence. I hope something as ridiculous as this issue is not left unattended. You can image the frustration cause you’re essentially a monolithic version of woocommrce so we may not be able to disable plugins at will. Hopefully your product gets much better with time. I’ll be happy to be an evangelist provided you can live up to your promises. Regards

Litespeed servers are not the issue here. My personal use of SureCart has exclusively been on Litespeed servers. SureCart works perfectly fine with litespeed servers, nginx servers, apache servers. All the various tech stacks ??

The issue was with one setting in the Litespeed Cache plugin, which has hundreds of options available that fundamentally alter how your website works.

Many of the options in the Litespeed Cache plugin could potentially cause all sorts of unexpected results on your website. So you really have to enable them with caution. Many of the options have red warning labels to let you know the problems that setting may cause for your website.
