Nothing shows up on page – followed instructions exactly

I have read through other posts with a similar problem.
I have 3 teams members all in the same category called “Administration.”
When I insert the short code for team members in this category, nothing is visible on the page. In fact, no other content on the page is visible as well and the footer disappears.
I am using the free version. I was going to purchase the Pro version if this works.
The theme I am using is “The7” (latest version)>
