    Are you using the latest version of the plugin? Also, try with all other plugins temporarily disabled to see if there is a plugin conflict somewhere.

    Yep, it’s the latest version. I disabled all other plugins, but without result…

    I’m not sure what the issue could be.

    Can you try again with all other plugins deactivated and a default WordPress theme activated. Also, make sure you enter the shortcode when the editor is in ‘Text’ mode.

    Initially, I am having similar issue and then I found that I was entering the code in visual editor which was altering the code and adding

    <code> </code> to my sitemap code.

    Once I enter it in the text mode issue resolved.

    Yep, that would do it. You always need to add shortcodes to the editor properly otherwise they’ll be outputted as plain text!
