    Hi,

Our client uses this Job Manager plugin, and it seems to have stopped working. Possibly in line with updating to the latest version of WordPress.

It won’t seem to render any of the front-end features. It’s all coming through as 404s when I click the ‘view’ links from the admin sections.

The “URL path” setting under Admin Settings within the plugin only shows ‘ https://www.armscare.co.uk/?page_id= (edit)’ and clicking edit does nothing. I suspect this is part of the reason there’s an issue, it can’t set some kind of base url to work from?

An example of a job listing that isn’t working:
    https://www.armscare.co.uk/hr-training-and-staff-development-manager/

    WordPress Version: 4.6.1
    Job Manager Version: 0.7.25
    https://www.armscare.co.uk/

That’s indicating a plugin and or theme conflict. If you recently updated your theme and or added some other plugin this may have caused your issue.

You should follow this process till you find the problem.

The permalink structure does not look correct either, if you recently updated WordPress SEO plugin that can sometimes cause issues until you reset Permalinks.

    Hey Thomas,

Thanks for replying. I had already tried disabling all plugins to test, which made no difference.

I hadn’t tried switching themes. Changing to a standard WordPress theme does get the job applications to show up, but the “Apply” links still come up as 404s. Additionally, I’m still not able to edit the “URL path” when using 2011 theme.

The site doesn’t have an SEO plugin installed, and I thought I had already reset the permalinks. Either resetting permalinks or switching the theme back and forth got the job applications to show up within the custom theme, but hasn’t fixed the other issues I just mentioned.

Are there any other steps I should take? Could I have an email address to provide you with login information to take a look first hand at the WordPress backend?

    Thanks.

Did you move the site from one server to another at some point where Job Manager was previously installed ? That’s usually the only time that you see issues with 404’s on apply because the app numbers are now not finding the associated jobs ? I think the Permalinks issue is the giveaway here. That should reflect /jobs/ or whatever you named your default page. Try resetting permalinks again after all your other plugins are disabled.

We didn’t move the site, no.

Disabling all other plugins and resetting permalinks was the first thing I tried, it didn’t fix it.

Using a standard theme and resetting permalinks, as you advised, also doesn’t fix it.
