Nothing is updating

    Since we installed the plugin a few weeks ago, we had to manually update plugins, themes, etc. since nothing gets updated. Status has an x for core (minor and major) but green for plugins and themes. I cannot change the interval for the core update. Everything is scheduled hourly.

    I’m not sure if there is a plugin conflict but we are using the following plugins:
    Classic Editor
    Companion Auto Update
    GoDaddy Email Marketing
    Gravity Forms
    Gravity Forms Quiz Add-On
    Jetpack
    Paypal Donation
    Social Media and Share Icons (Ultimate Social Media)
    WP-Optimize
    WPBruiser

    System info
    WordPress 5.0.3
    PHP 7.2.7

  • Hi @roxchou, what is the hosting?
    Maybe this can depend from the hosting. I know auto update are blocked on altervista if you doesn’t make some verification of the account.

    I have heard about godaddy but never had the occasion to try. Do you have error server log to check on your godaddy hosting?

    Maybe the issue can be you are not having enough visitor. Can be helpful maybe add a uptime service monitoring that visit your site regularly. (Surfing on the web you can find different free services) I run this plugin and i have never issue with plugin updated also this plugin is using WordPress core function for update plugins.

    No the client’s website is on basic plan with no access to the error log.

    What do you mean when you say “not having enough visitor”? Is the plugin based on the amount of traffic the website gets. This website does not get a lot of traffic.

    One more thing, wp core auto update is set to true in the config.php file. Could this be the issue for core minor and major failed status in the plugin status tab?

    Hi,

    Traffic is required for this plugin to work its best but this also works with search engin robots etc. so as long as you’ve not disabled indexing this shouldn’t be an issue.

    While having that line in your wpconfig file shouldn’t do any harm you could try removing it and see if that works.
