Nothing happens, when the “Next” button is pressed

    Hello, just wanted to ask you guys, does anyone of you had a problem, with the Postman SMTP setup wizard (or “Send a Test Message” page)?

    I’m currently experiencing a weird problem with it – when I click on the “Next” button (in any of the pages, I mentioned), nothing happens. Everything stays the same, no redirects, no nothing. Like the button would be somehow inactive.

    I also looked at the Developer Tools console – no JS errors, only notice about JQuery Migrate being enabled. Plus, I also enabled WP_DEBUG option, to see if there are some PHP related errors, but still nothing.

    Do any of you have some ideas, what could be wrong with it?

    Here is my details:

    PHP: Linux 7.0.11 C
    PHP Dependencies: iconv=Yes, spl_autoload=Yes, openssl=Yes, sockets=Yes, allow_url_fopen=Yes, mcrypt=Yes, zlib_encode=Yes
    WordPress: 4.6.1 en_US UTF-8
    WordPress Theme: Globo
    WordPress Plugins: Captcha by BestWebSoft, Contact Form 7, Globo Theme Helper, WPBakery Visual Composer, Postman SMTP, WooCommerce, WordPress Importer, ZillaShortcodes modified
    WordPress wp_mail Filter(s): wp_staticize_emoji_for_email
    WordPress phpmailer_init Action(s): wpcf7_phpmailer_init
    Postman: 1.7.2

    Okay, I decided to take a deeper look into this again, and by disabling plugins and themes, found that Globo theme causes this error. After Googling this up, I discovered this topic has already been answered by the plugin author.

    “I am the author of Postman SMTP. Unfortunately, the Globo theme creates a problem, as it loads its Javascript files on all admin pages, instead of just the public pages, breaking admin pages it does not even own. The WordPress codex frowns on this practice.”

    Just letting others know – Globo theme + Postman SMTP (or many other plugins) = bad combination
