Nothing happens when I click the Insert Gallery button

    Using NextGen Gallery 3.2.4. Everything looks great when managing galleries. When I attempt to add a gallery to a post, I choose “Gallery” as the type, then I choose the gallery I want, and the type (slideshow, thumbnails, whatever). Then I click Insert Gallery. The button moves a little, giving me feedback that I clicked it. But nothing happens after that, and the gallery is not inserted.

    I am using WordPress 5.2.1 and am inserting a “NextGen” block. Everything works right up to the last moment– the actual “adding of the gallery to the page.”

    I tried other galleries, and I tried making a new gallery. It was the same situation. I tried Chrome and Safari. I also tried turning off Jetpack, which I thought might conflict in some way. Same result. Can you help?

    First of all, we need to check for any existing conflicts with any other plugins or themes. Let’s try this:

    1.- Temporarily deactivate all your plugins except NextGen Gallery.

    2.- Is the problem solved? Then, it was caused by one of your plugins. Please check one by one and find the one causing the problem.

    3.- If the problem is not solved with the deactivation of the plugins, try changing to a standard WordPress theme, it could be a conflict with your current theme.

    Note: It will be great if you could perform a full website backup first (recommended before any troubleshooting).

    Thanks for your help. I was able to make it work with my other plug-ins disabled. So now I have to figure out which one.

    What a pain the plug-in system is– it seems rather unregulated. With a conflict, which I have innocently stumbled onto, I now have to go one-by-one, disable, click click click, fail, back to plug-ins, re-enable, now disable something else, repeat, blah blah. A weakness in the system, not in NextGen Gallery.
