Nothing happens after enabling Autoptimise

your theme is probably missing the opening html-tag (or it contains an xsl-tag), can you check that?

I checked my theme and I am sure that there is no xsl-tag. It is running at https://www.kidspathshala.com/. what do you think?

hmmm, seems your theme has it’s own minifier, which might somehow prevent autoptimize from being activated, cfr.

I disabled that inbuilt minifier of the theme but still nothing is happening :/

but they are not used anywhere.

Very weird, as this means AO does get triggered and that it can read the HTML (and referenced files) and optimize, but that for some reason it cannot change the HTML (removing references to non-optimized CSS/JS and injecting the links to the autoptimized files).

Can you briefly test with one of the stock themes (twentytwelve for example) to see if this is somehow due to the theme (my gut feeling says it is)? And if it doesn’t work with twentytwelve either, can you disable other plugins one after the other to see if a specific plugin conflicting with AO?
