I’m not sure how long this has been happening, but when I do a test form submission for any of the SF forms on our site using your plugin, nothing happens. There is supposed to be a confirmation message that shows, but instead there is a just a little wheel that spins and spins.

    This used to work.

This is usually Contact Form 7’s fault — do you have that installed?

If so, turn of the CF7 integration option, or enable the “attempt to fix CF7” option and see if that helps.

I had “Use WP CF7 CSS integration?” checked. Not sure if that’s what you mean. In any case, I deactivated CF7 and the SF plugin is now working. I’m not clear on what change would allow using both. Should I uncheck that box or check the one below it, “Remove WP CF7 Javascript on SFWP2L pages? (fixes CF7 hijacking form submits, may break CF7 forms on the same page)” or both?

    Thanks.

    Best Option
Unchecking Use WP CF7 CSS integration? solves it as it removes the CSS class that causes the hijack.

    Another Option
Checking Remove WP CF7 Javascript on SFWP2L pages? should allow both plugins to co-exist — even with Use WP CF7 CSS integration? checked.

If you have a CF7 form and a SF form on the same page… it may break the CF7 form. But only if they co-exist on a single page.

    Hi Nick,

I’m sorry to open this up again, and if you need me to open a new thread, I certainly can! I am having the same issue. When you click submit, the page reloads. The person inputting the information does not know that it is sent, and keeps pressing submit. My client receives upwards of 10 emails before the submitter realize that it has been sent.

I have tried every combination of the above buttons as I can think of. I have checked and unchecked the Use WP CF7 CSS and tested multiple times, with no success. I also tested the url of the “success” redirect page, and it is indeed correct.

I would be happy to submit a screen shot of the back end, if that helps. However, is there a way of submitting it privately?

    Thanks so much in advance.

    Cheers,
    -a

That’s what form submits generally do…

The person inputting the information does not know that it is sent, and keeps pressing submit.
They should see the success message (with no form/submit button) and be redirected as soon as the page loads, is that not occurring?

Are you assuming this, or know this?

Sounds like your users are click happy. Does the form take a long time to submit (e.g. is your server slow to respond?)

This is an unrelated issue — that checkbox can’t fix click happy users.

Let’s start with a link for me to see the issue in action, shall we?

    Hi Nick,

Thanks so much for the quick response.

That is correct. I have the “Return/Thanks” section set to go to https://vitalityair.com/thank-you/ . Upon clicking submit, no page is linked.

The site in question is https://vitalityair.com/retailerwholesaler-application/

No, the server submits quite quickly from my tests. There is no indication of form success, and the page blinks for a second, and then returns with all the originally submitted information. From my tests I can easily understand why they click multiple times.

Yeah, something fishy is going on, but it’s not the CF7 integration.

Can you send a screenshots of your entire form settings screen to nick [at] cimbura [dot] com?

I am having this same issue. I am not using any other form plugin. Do you have a fix for this? It happens on 3 of my sites.

    Thank you,
    Rebekah

@rbkhrlstn Please create a new thread – the same symptoms are not always the same cause.
