• Hello

I’ve installed and entered the API key, ticked all the boxes and set the distance to 10km. When I click the icon nothing happens. At bottom it says “javascript:void(0);” when I click. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

  • Hi I have the same problem. Were you able to find a solution?

@conexcapp No, I haven’t, have you? I didn’t hear anything from the developer.

    Thanks

    @vvolz and @conexcapp,

Problem is with chrome. As stated on: https://developers.google.com/web/updates/2016/04/geolocation-on-secure-contexts-only

Starting with Chrome 50, Chrome no longer supports obtaining the user's location using the HTML5 Geolocation API from pages delivered by non-secure connections. This means that the page that's making the Geolocation API call must be served from a secure context such as HTTPS.

This means until and unless you have HTTPS on your site, You can’t use the plugin with Chrome. However, You can still try the plugin with Firefox.

Yes it works on Firefox but I’m not using that. My users would check in on their phones, and I’ve just tried it on Safari on my iPhone and nothing is happening when I press the check in.

So I have updated to this:
    WP 4.7.2
    BPCI 1.0.3

And when I try to activate the plugin I get this:
Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare bpchk_plugin_activation() (previously declared in /***/wp-content/plugins/bp-check-in/bp-checkins.php:31) in /***/wp-content/plugins/bp-check-in/bp-check-in.php on line 36

    Hi @vvolz,
When you download the plugin from org, you must be getting two files in the folder root:
    1. bp-check-in.php
    2. bp-checkins.php

Please delete the first file as this file was created by mistake. The Fatal Error on your site will be resolved. The plugin will be updated on org soon.
    Thanks!
